To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced and organized Project Lead Architect who is passionate about innovative office spaces and project leadership.

Job Description:

As a Project Lead Architect at SHAKE Design & Build, you will be responsible in collaboration with a team of architects for leading and managing architectural projects from initial concept through the handover to the project management team, who will oversee the execution and final delivery. You will work closely with clients, design teams, and project managers to ensure each project achieves high standards in aesthetics, functionality, and strategic alignment. In this role, you’ll provide technical guidance, support the design team’s workflow, and maintain active involvement throughout the process. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced architect passionate about space design, team leadership, and innovative project solutions.

Profiel

Your experience and skills

• Experience: At least 10 years of experience in architecture, ideally in office design. Proven experience managing the full design-to-build process is essential.
• Background: Degree in Architecture (Engineering or Interior Architecture backgrounds are also considered).
• Skills: Strong command of ArchiCAD and familiarity with design tools for visual presentations. Proficiency in Dutch is required.
• Attributes: A collaborative, reliable, and motivated team player with a creative approach to problem-solving. Able to manage client relationships and the project team effectively. A previous team leadership experience is an asset.
• Language: Fluency in Dutch is required. French and English are valued. 

Your job

• Project Leadership: In close collaboration with a team of architects, he/she will lead architectural projects from initial concept through the handover to the project management team, who will handle the execution and final delivery. Stay actively involved, providing consultation and working closely with the project manager to ensure cohesive design and project goals.
• Client and Stakeholder Communication: Act as a key point of contact, translating client needs into effective design solutions and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Creative Direction: Shape design direction, balancing aesthetics with technical, functional, and commercial requirements. 
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with design and project management teams to ensure aligned goals and smooth project execution.
• Mentorship and Development: Guide and support junior architects, fostering their skills and growth.
• Market Innovation: Stay informed on trends in office design and architectural technology to keep our projects ahead of the curve.
